Unlike the Geneva International Motor Show where concept cars prevailed, New York primarily showcases production vehicles ranging from ho hum to provocative. Here are some cars on exhibit...
2008 Nissan 350Z NISMO
Suzuki SX4
2009 Ford Flex
If the 2007 New York International Auto Show proved one thing, it demonstrated anew the constant ebb and flow that is so much a part of the automotive industry. Consumer tastes change at an alarming rate, much more so than in the past and the need to reach emerging markets is critical to the success of any car company.
For now, at least, the best designs have been put forward and the vehicles shined and polished to perfection. Who the winners and losers will be in 2007 is anyone’s guess and the results are sure to be surprising. Change is good they say, so make your plans to arrive in New York over the next ten days and see for yourself what’s new in automotive.
